Before the MCU and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Ben Affleck suited up as Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer by day and vigilante by night, seeking justice in Hell’s Kitchen. The director’s cut of the film expands on Matt’s struggle to balance his personal and heroic lives, his romance with Elektra Natchios (Jennifer Garner), and his intense rivalry with Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Michael Clarke Duncan) and the deadly assassin Bullseye (Colin Farrell). This version also restores key storylines, including Matt’s work as a lawyer alongside Foggy Nelson (Jon Favreau) and his investigation into a murder case that ties into Kingpin’s criminal empire.
