THIS IS WRONG! Adjusting the steering rack isn't just that, and it's not exactly that, and it's not the first adjustment to be made. Before adjusting the steering rack, you MUST first check the worm shaft play. If there's any play, it must be corrected. If you go directly to adjusting the sector, you'll be eliminating the worm's play. Tightening the sector too much against the worm will eliminate the play, but it will overload the axle preload, significantly increasing wear, making the steering heavy, and quickly damaging the steering box. After cornering, the wheels tend to pivot forward again, thanks to the suspension geometry. If this doesn't happen in your case, your car's steering system should be inspected.
