The Boura World Tour continued on land in Spain with Valencia 🇪🇸 as our home base — and what an unforgettable chapter it has been. For weeks, Valencia became much more than a place to stay. It became our neighborhood, our morning walking route, our favorite cafés, our parks, our markets, and our gateway to some of Spain’s most incredible cities and experiences. From the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences to the beautiful Turia Gardens, Oceanogràfic, Bioparc Valencia, museums, historic neighborhoods, beaches, markets, and countless tinto de verano stops 🍷😄, Valencia quickly captured our hearts. And from Valencia, the adventures continued. We explored the grandeur of Madrid, walked through centuries of history in Toledo, fell in love with the coastal charm of Cádiz, wandered the stunning streets and gardens of Sevilla, relaxed on the beaches of Sagunto, and discovered countless plazas, castles, cathedrals, markets, gardens, and hidden corners along the way. One of the highlights of our time in Spain was catching up with our dear friends Dave and Chris Hodson in Madrid. Sharing museums, gardens, meals, cappuccinos, travel stories, and laughter made an already special trip even more meaningful. We also made many new friends along the way, including the wonderful Lebanese family behind Fayrouz Restaurant in Valencia. What started as a great meal quickly turned into a friendship. Their hospitality, kindness, and incredible food made us feel like family from the moment we walked through the door. Before long, they had become our Valencia family ❤️ The world really is smaller than we think. Along the way, we also continued one of our favorite travel traditions — collecting beautiful Christmas ornaments from each city we visit 🎄❤️. Our collection grew quite a bit in Spain, and let's just say that our luggage may have become slightly heavier with every "just one more ornament" purchase 😄 What we will remember most isn't just the landmarks. It's the people. The conversations. The friendships. The unexpected connections. The kindness of strangers who quickly become friends. Of course, we'll also remember the evening strolls, outdoor cafés, beautiful parks, historic sites, beaches, gardens, and Spain's remarkable ability to make every city feel like an open-air museum. And yes... we also learned that Spain's tourism strategy appears to be simple: Build a castle on every hill, a cathedral in every city, a beautiful plaza around every corner, add a spectacular garden every few blocks, and make visitors walk enough steps to justify all the tapas and tinto de verano 😂 By the end of our stay, we had climbed enough towers, walked enough cobblestone streets, and explored enough historic sites to earn honorary Spanish step-counter citizenship 😆 Spain gave us history, culture, architecture, beaches, gardens, amazing food, wonderful people, beautiful ornaments, new friendships, and memories that will stay with us forever.
