Austria Salzburg 1930s and the high Alpine Road (Grossglockner)

Scenes from around Salzburg in Austria filmed about 1934 (from 16mm projected footage). This shows towns around the Grossglockner road (a high Alpine road) including Zell Am See, Bischofshofen, Lofer and Salaach. These is also a clip of Arturo Toscanini (Italian Conductor) who had residence at the Festspielhaus Salzburg from 1934-37. The film photography was assisted by Hans Nigmann, and this will be an early example of his work.
