Finding an udon restaurant in Shingu, a town almost entirely populated by chain udon shops, proves challenging, but Asamitsu eventually discovers a restaurant serving exquisite thin udon noodles. His first bowl is meat udon with seafood tempura topping. His second bowl is the cold bukkake udon, a dish that just became available that day. After a series of detours, he finally arrives at his second restaurant, located in the neighboring Higashi Ward of Fukuoka City. A simple yet exquisite bowl of udon awaits him. [What is Udon MAP?] Asamitsu, the udon expert, aims to eat his way through Fukuoka, the birthplace of udon. He interviews Fukuoka residents for their udon recommendations and visits them unannounced.
