Elegant at Eighty PS Waverley | Cruise to Loch Goil

My first-ever trip on the PS Waverley, the world’s last remaining seagoing paddle steamer. Join me for a journey along the Firth of Clyde as we sail from Greenock to Kilcreggan, Blairmore, and Largs. From the mechanical beauty of the engine room to the classic experience of fish and chips in her dining saloon, it was a day to remember. We even experienced some "proper" West of Scotland weather towards the end of the trip, but it didn't dampen the spirit of the day at all! It’s a privilege to see this historic ship in action. 📍 Trip Highlights: 00:00 – Intro from David at Greenock. 00:28 – Waverley arrives at Custom House Quay. 02:29 – All Aboard. 02:54 – Waiting to depart. 03:12 – Ready engine and we are off. 04:44 – Greenock waterfront. 06:11 - Heading for Kilcreggan with views up river and Gourock. 08:08 – Super yacht at anchor. 09:12 – Kilcreggan arrival. 10:53 – Departing Kilcreggan. 11:35 – Next stop, Blairmore. 12:58 – Ready to arrive at Blairmore. 15:15 – Heading for the Dining Saloon - Fish and Chips anyone? 16:53 – Sailing up to Loch Goil and Carrick Castle. 18:35 – Carrick Castle. 19:40 – Back down Loch Goil and Loch Long. 21:11 – Bye to Blairmore for now. 21:48 – Tearoom and a cuppa. 22:06 - Kilcreggan and heading downriver to Largs. 23:14 – Lets take another look around the ship. 26:32 – Passing Wemyss Bay pier and station. 27:09 – Here we are at Largs. 28:22 – Continuing the tour of Waverley. 29:00 – We chat to Iain Quinn about Waverley at eight and more. 37:37 – David says thanks and hopes you will subscribe to the channel. 38:28 – The run in to Greenock Custom House Quay. 39:41 – The End – Thanks for watching.
