The Road to Santiago: The documentary Please click on the subscribe 👍 The Road to Santiago is a new documentary about one mans walk along the Christian pilgrimage called Camino de Santiago. After a near death experience whilst falling from a 70ft waterfall in Thailand, an event which transformed his life, Alan Field gave up a life of crime to follow his dreams and become a filmmaker, going on to win numerous awards including a Bafta (BBC1 The Street) but he still had another dream to achieve. That dream was to meet the author of his favourite book: The Alchemist. Only in order to meet the author Paulo Coelho he first had to walk along the 800km pilgrimage along the French route and before long he begins to re-encounter with himself, his own faith and his own personal connection to this ancient road.
