Transcendence // Capturing the Spirit of Mountain Biking Through Art in Northern British Columbia
The Art & Trails project brought together three artists and one author from communities across Northern British Columbia to capture the spirit of mountain bike trails and share the stories they hold. This is a story of how art and culture transcend the physical act of mountain biking to create a deeper connection to the land and its people. Check out our feature on this project here: https://freehub.com/features/natural-... Ben Haggar is a freelance photographer, writer and filmmaker based in Squamish, British Columbia. He also works as a Polar Guide running logistics and executing trips in the Arctic and Antarctica. His goal as a photographer and general human being is to inspire people to push a little further, break out of their comfort zone, and discover new places and experiences at home or abroad while thinking of their environmental impact. Ben specializes in photographing the activities he is most passionate about: remote travel and expeditions, action sports, environmental conservation and the underwater world. His work has been displayed in galleries and film festivals in western Canada and the US, Singapore, London and the Smithsonian in Washington DC. This film was released through Freehub channels as part of our Freehub Pipeline program, which aims to elevate and share amazing stories from athletes and creators.
