Tourner la page : Une masterclass de Zep
After years of working with color using digital tools, Zep ventured into direct coloring on the pages of Tourner la page (Turn the Page). Accustomed to the technique in his sketchbooks, drawing from life, he imagines here a novelist who fakes his death to escape a bleak end to his career. To disappear, the novelist Lambert Delville is shipwrecked in his sailboat. A philosophical and moral tale, perhaps personal, set against the idyllic backdrop of the Aegean Sea, a place Zep himself visited to master the main graphic challenge he faced: representing the sea.
