A large, violent (0.6 mile wide) EF-4 tornado impacted portions of Montgomery County around 11:00PM leaving behind an extensive swath of damage. One hour later, another strong EF-2 tornado (0.25 mile wide) impacted portions of Montgomery County just a few miles North of the first tornado track. Incredibly, there were no fatalities from these tornadoes in Montgomery County. There was one fatality in Celina from the EF-3 Tornado which occurred there. Across the Miami Valley of Western Ohio a total of 19 confirmed tornadoes occurred, unfortunately setting a new one-day record for any severe weather event in this particular market.
