Subscribe If You Dare ‪@disasterstories‬ On 26 February 2019, two climbers, Tom Ballard and Daniele Nardi, set out to climb Nanga Parbat, also known as "The Killer Mountain". They attempted to conquer the Mummery Spur, a challenging and dangerous route that had never been successfully completed before. But after several days of climbing, the climbers' communication with the outside world dropped and they were reported missing. A massive search and rescue operation was launched, involving Pakistani military helicopters and a team of highly skilled climbers and rescuers from around the world.
