The restaurant we visited for this photo shoot is "Nariya" in Nishinari, Osaka. Nishinari in Osaka was once known as the slums of Japan, a town with a poor image and poor security. There were riots and conflicts with the police as the town attracted criminals, and many Japanese stayed away from this area. I had been to this area several times in the past, and it was a really dangerous town with a lot of crime. However, the atmosphere has changed a lot now, and on the other hand, the town has become a place where people remain kind to each other. The "Nariya" I photographed this time is located in front of "Triangle Park," which was said to be the most dangerous place in such a town. It was also famous as a place where many fights broke out, but nowadays, security has calmed down and the relationship between the police and residents is becoming better. Customers help elderly shopkeepers to open their stores, and when fights break out, regulars mediate.
