Rush Doshi, the C.V. Starr Senior Fellow for Asia Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations and Assistant Professor at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service, gave the keynote address during the 2026 SCCEI China Conference. He outlined the world order after Trump: what the U.S. must confront and why our only viable path forward – both to achieve domestic renewal and to balance an increasingly formidable China – is to build “allied scale” with our partners.
