Gregg Turkington presents the famous Jitterbug Scene from ‘Deck of Cards’
The Music you’re hearing is called swing, it is the soundtrack to a dance called the Jitterbug. Jitterbugging developed from dances preformed my African Americans in Juke joints and dance halls. I think the whole world will be watching the first ever unveiling of the famous jitterbug scene. It was originally filmed for Victor Fleming’s 1939 ‘Wizard of Oz,’ but was later cut from the movie. The footage was never recovered and was lost forever and never recovered. It is now restored here in full color. Gregg Turkington, (Founder, Victorville Film Archive/ Co-Host, On Cinema At The Cinema) is a certified “Oz Expert” and has recreated this lost scene for movie buffs everywhere. IT’S MOVIE TIME!!!!
