It is an absolute beast! This may look like a regular scooter, but it is anything but. It goes 50 mph, has 86 miles of range, accelerates from 0 to 30 in under 4 seconds, can climb steep hills with ease thanks to the 7000W motor, oh and it costs more than my car. Could I actually replace my car with the Segway GT3 Pro? This thing is an absolute beast, and with gas getting more expensive and the weather getting nicer, I am going to see how long I can go using this scooter instead of my car. Obviously you can’t take this on a highway, but for getting around locally, I’ll be getting groceries, commuting to work, meeting with friends, and obviously testing the capabilities of this scooter. Let’s see what it can do. 1 - Ride to coffee shop to meet with friends So this has several modes. Also it has two wheel drive. We’ll do an acceleration test later, but let’s do a top speed run Speed test Stop and talk about stability, controls, handling Arrive Talk about locking the scooter up Also has AirLock - using the app Works with Apple FindMy network Hill test 2 - Ride to grocery store to get stuff for dinner Talk about deck size, carrying capacity Weight capacity is 330lb Horn test 3 - Go home, Show design, controls, etc. Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes 2.4” smart TFT color display - different from last gen Display has navigation, real time ride data, incoming call notifications Self sealing tires 11” ultra wide tires 4 - Ride to basketball court Talk about range Rated 86 miles in eco at 15.5mph 45 miles in sport at 31mph 34 miles in race at 50mph 5 - come home On way home Auto high/low headlight based on speed (118 vs 246 feet) Show blinkers Show tail lights Outro Now you may wonder why I'm even doing this. Well my cars in the shop and I've been wanting to ride this scooter all winter. Now if I wanted to commute everyday, I would worry about weather obviously. This is IPX6 rated, so the scooter will be fine but traction would be my concern. Much like a small motorcycle or moped. So could this replace my car? Again, it can’t go on highways, but it could be a great vehicle for local commutes. Especially if you live somewhere with nice weather, you have a large car or parking is annoying, or if you just want this for weekend cruises. This is more like a moped alternative.
