How To Print Your Head/Bust With Bambu MakerLab. Creep Or Cool?

Everybody welcome back 3D Kool Hacks. Today we are talking about how to make a bust of yourself using Bambu Maker Lab. I have three of them right here that are the same, one that is different, and I have done a third one. They do take the Maker Credits they give you to make these. You can do it right from your iPhone or from your PC or laptop. The first one I did was small. I uploaded it from my iPhone, hit print, and that is the size you get from Maker Lab. I wanted to modify it later and I could not get the file to do anything. It would only let me reprint. I went to my PC and checked, and it was not there at all. Then magically in the last couple days it popped back up. During that time I printed this second one off my PC with a different picture. This is my favorite one. When it finally popped into the app, it let me modify it and make it bigger. This is the largest one I can make right now on my P1S, but I figured out how to make it even huger and I will show you. I did not love one of them because it made my nose look really big. I do not know if my nose is that big or not, but this one looks a little more distinguished. And the reason this one does not have glasses is because of my coworker. He tried to print one for his pastor with glasses on and the glasses broke right off. So keep that in mind. I am on a MacBook Pro M4 Pro. I already have my picture ready to upload. Here is the workflow. You open Bambu Studio, go to Maker Lab, scroll until you see the bust creator and hit Try Now. These are the three statues I did before. You hit New Project and upload your image. You can drag and drop. It did not work dragging from my Mac at first so I had to manually find it in Downloads. I am using a PNG from outside with the siding behind me. The other ones I did were in the bathroom with my shirt off, which was kind of weird, but it is what it is. They recommend no glasses, no side views, no incomplete faces, and no non human subjects. They want a chest or waist shot so they can make a bigger bust. Then you hit Generate 3D Model. It costs 40 Maker Credits. You cannot buy these credits, you have to earn them. Your image will be used for AI generation. It says 30 seconds to wait but it takes a lot longer than that. Once it generates, you can go to Edit Statue. You can add a base, there are a few different styles. You can add glasses and move them up and down, forward and back. They do not go all the way through your head. You can also transform it and scale your head up or down. I prefer to do the final scaling inside Bambu Studio itself. When you are happy, you can export it. You can Open in Studio or Download the STL. Open it in Studio, slice the plate, and you can make it bigger right there. If you try to edit it again after that, it will charge you more credits. These do take a lot of filament. This marble filament I got from Hobby Lobby for $20.99 and I really like it. If you go to Your Statues you can see everything you have created. You can see the picture I used, how much chest it included, yeah look at all that chest hair. And here is what I am doing now. I wanted a life size head and my P1S cannot do that in one piece, so I split it. I cut it and put it on two different plates. It is printing right now and it is going to take about 12 to 13 hours. My head is going to be massive. My wife does not like these at all. She thinks they are ugly and creepy and does not want them in the house. But I think they are awesome.
