QSC CB10 Review | The BEST Battery Powered PA of 2026… or Overpriced?

The QSC CB10 is finally here, and it marks QSC’s first entry into the battery powered PA speaker category. In this video, I put the new QSC CB10 battery powered speaker through real world sound tests and share my honest review to help DJs, musicians, and event professionals decide if this portable PA is worth the investment. When I first heard QSC was releasing a 10-inch battery powered PA speaker, I was genuinely excited. QSC has a reputation for professional sound quality and reliability, and while they arrived later than competitors, they clearly aimed to enter the market with something substantial. In this review, you’ll hear live audio demonstrations and learn how the CB10 performs for weddings, ceremonies, small events, busking, fitness classes, and mobile DJ setups. I also break down the specs, features, and usability to see how it compares to other portable PA systems. The CB10 features a 10-inch woofer and 1-inch compression driver, delivering up to 440 watts of peak power and an impressive 127 dB maximum SPL. It includes two combo XLR inputs with selectable presets and Mic Boost, Bluetooth streaming, aux input, and compatibility with the QSC Loudspeaker Control app. This makes it a versatile all-in-one solution for performers, presenters, and entertainers who need professional sound without complicated setup. Sound quality is where this speaker really shines. The CB10 delivers clean, warm, and smooth audio with clear vocals and balanced music playback that avoids harshness even at higher volumes. If you’re familiar with the CP Series, this feels like the next evolution in portability and performance. There are not many 10-inch battery powered PA speakers available right now. The closest competitor is the Yorkville EXM Pro10, which I reviewed on this channel last year. If you want to compare options, be sure to check out that video as well. I also discuss a few missed opportunities, including the lack of a true monitor angle and no USB charging port, features that appear on some competing models. Even so, this is a strong first entry into the battery powered speaker market from a brand known for professional audio. At $799 USD (about $1,159 CAD), the CB10 sits in the premium tier. However, QSC products are built for long term reliability and strong resale value, making this a solid investment for working professionals. I’ll be testing the CB10 in more real world scenarios soon, so make sure to subscribe and stay tuned.
