Steam through Goathland on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
The station of Goathland on the North Yorkshire Moors railway is an interesting place to spend time at. As well as being a place where trains pass, it is at the top of the steep climb from Grosmont, so locomotives must keep power on until they are actually in the station. However, it also means that trains heading downhill more or less just have to release their brakes to get underway. Trains for Pickering still have a bit of a climb to pull away from the station. Enjoy this selection of steam locomotives at this lovely station.
