At Superbooth 2026, we met with Piotr from Polyend who unveiled *Polyend Drums *an analogue digital hybrid drum machine which he says is probably the biggest project they've ever undertaken. Drums has 8 tracks which can be either analogue or digital and synthesizes Polyend's ten years of sequencing knowhow all built from a single-piece aluminum body with custom metal knobs and high-end components engineered for precision, consistency, and tactile response. Real-time performance features include the X0Y fader for morphing kits, triggering fills, and switching patterns or sound kits without interrupting playback, with key controls always within reach. The effects architecture includes dedicated send, insert, and master effects groups. Insert effects can be sequenced per track, allowing effects processing to become part of the rhythm itself. Powered by a dual-core main CPU with dedicated auxiliary processors for peripherals and analog control, Drums delivers 32-bit floating-point internal audio processing at 96kHz, with 24-bit/96kHz DAC and ADC conversion for high-fidelity audio input and output.
