A simple sentence... but incredibly touching. 🥹🍜 This is the story of Auntie Tiang, or Mrs. Suwanee Khantayaphon, a 72-year-old noodle vendor who has been serving delicious food with a smile for over 40 years at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, a place steeped in Thai culture, food, and the heart of true Thais. Once a "tramp" selling goods, Auntie Tiang met Payu, the owner of the pier. He was given the opportunity to open a regular shop, becoming a favorite among both Thai and international customers. To this day, Payu is still protective of Auntie, refusing to let her sell anywhere else for fear of hardship. "Auntie Tiang truly is the treasure of the pier." Auntie Tiang began using a spatula because her father used to sell kuay jap. She practiced the recipe and developed her own special topping for her noodles: fried shrimp. This signature recipe is so delicious that anyone who tries it will vouch for it! Even the Super100 judges confirmed it! But the most delicious thing...is not just the noodles. It's the "heart" of Auntie Tiang, who serves every customer. Those who have no money...Auntie will give them food. Just to be full and eat good food. Some people can instantly recognize their regular customers just by hearing their voice or seeing their nails! Even though she's getting older, Auntie Tiang still works late every day. Not because no one helps, but because her "heart" wants her customers to eat clean, delicious food and be happy.
