Turning a CR-10 Into a Speed Machine| CR-10S Rebuild Part 2
In this video I show you how to rebuild and upgrade a 3D printer from the ground up. Brought to you by PCBWay, check them out using my link: https://pcbway.com/g/PCsz2y and get $5 off your first order! This is Part 2 of my full ground-up rebuild of my original Creality CR-10S. In this video I focus on rebuilding the entire frame, upgrading the motion system, installing new mechanical components, and pushing the printer to its limits to see how fast a fully rebuilt bed slinger can actually go. The upgrades in this video include a reinforced 4040 aluminum extrusion frame, a full support cage that also acts as the enclosure frame, linear rails on all axes, a belt-driven Z-axis with gear reduction, an all-wheel-drive Y-axis with carbon-fiber gantry components, and high-speed testing using Klipper. The goal is to turn this old CR-10 into a fast, rigid, modern machine capable of high acceleration and high-speed 3D printing. This project blends DIY, 3D printing, electronics, mechanical design, and water-cooling, making it perfect for makers, creators, PC modders, and 3D printing enthusiasts. I also want to give a big thank you to the creators of the LH Stinger project for the inspiration behind some of the parts of this build, such as the belt-driven Z-axis mechanism, rigid gantry design were inspired by the LH Stinger and adapted for this custom CR-10 rebuild.
