Following the temporary grounding of the LA Metro BYD fleet, these brand-new Metro Local BYDs started coming out to be in service. Unit 10050-10059 are now out of Division 2, which are typically operating on the 55, 60 and etc. Unit 10060 and beyond are assigned to Division 1, which includes route 16, 18, 20, and many more that serves Downtown LA and Koreatown. Following the D Line extension grand opening, I was able to fan this bus running on the 18, an afternoon peak hour only block that only consists of 3 trips. There was a short-turn 18 for Commerce Center ahead of this bus, so it was not very crowded. Note that the route announcement is playing inside the bus for some reason (could be a new feature? Not sure).
