*EMERGENCY* Lufthansa B747-8 Emergency Landing Runway 23L at Manchester Airport

Whilst en route from Frankfurt to New York JFK this Lufthansa B747-8 registered D-ABYA diverted to Manchester and made an emergency landing on runway 23L around 19:10. The aircraft dumped fuel off the west coast of the UK before making an approach to Manchester. The aircraft came to a full stop followed by a number of fire engines in pursuit. The aircraft sat at the end of the runway before a tug was brought out onto the runway when unfortunately we had to leave. We think the cause of the emergency was a hydraulic problem.
