Assalāmu ʿAlaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh, dear sis! Alḥamdulillāh! Our weekend getaway is finally here, in shā’ Allāh. May Allah bless our gathering, increase us in beneficial knowledge and righteous actions, accept every effort from us, and make it heavy on our scales on the Day when neither wealth nor children will benefit anyone, except the one who comes to Allah with a sound heart. "The Day when neither wealth nor children will benefit anyone, except one who comes to Allah with a sound heart."(Qur'an 26:88–89) But how do we cultivate a sound heart? Allah Himself gives us the answer: "This is a blessed Book which We have revealed to you so that they may reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding may take heed."(Qur'an 38:29) This gathering is our humble response to that divine invitation. How often do we let others do the reflecting on the Qur'an for us? While we greatly benefit from scholars, may Allah be pleased with them. However, Allah's invitation is for every believer. He calls each of us to reflect, ponder, and take heed. Together, we answer that call—discovering the beauty of the Qur'an one verse at a time, allowing His words to transform our hearts before they transform our lives. 🎥 Here are a few remarkable "aha!"
