Prelude and Fugue in A minor, BWV 543

This piece is one that I think will never leave my fingers. I learned the piece a year ago and it has always remained in my muscle memory. The fugue is famous for its crazy pedal entrances which I think are a lot of fun. Something else less obvious about the fugue is that the subject is written against the meter. A lot of the important notes are on off beats. Bach actually liked to do this from time to time. Also someone mentioned to me on instagram that it would be cool to hand register this organ, so at the beginning of both the prelude and fugue I did that. I think it made for some cool stop action sounds. Once again I'd like to thank the organists at the National Basilica for letting me record here. It was a lot of fun and it made for an excellent location for Bach.
