Ghost Calls at Midnight: Absolutely Do Not Answer | Funny Owl Stories Synopsis: After his grandmother's death, his father brought his grandfather to live with them in the city and hung her portrait in the house. However, this portrait is actually a living entity carrying a terrifying omen, with eyes that alternately stare at each person. Accompanying this is a strict spiritual rule: after midnight, if you hear knocking, you absolutely must not speak or open the door, unless the caller identifies themselves as "mother" in a firm tone. Things reach a climax when an evil force in the form of his mother, covered in blood, appears at the door seeking help after an accident. Thanks to his alertness, remembering his grandfather's warning, and the invisible protection of his grandmother's portrait (which always faces danger), the protagonist recognizes the imposter outside.
