Inadvertent Stalls in the Real World

While aerodynamic stalls, from which pilots train to recover during their flight training, enhance familiarity with stalls and stall recovery techniques, they also create strong misconceptions. In this video we demonstrate a real-world "inadvertent" stall in the turn from base to final which leads to a loss of control (LOC). We show how such real-world inadvertent stalls lacks many of the characteristics that pilots have been conditioned to expect in their prior training. Close to the ground, an aerodynamic stall as demonstrated is usually fatal. https://eflightinstruction.com If you choose to practice these stalls, it is imperative that you seek a competent flight instructor (one who has instructed aerobatics) and that you conduct the practice at a safe altitude. You will likely scare yourself and maybe even kill yourself if you do not adhere to this advice.
