Allevamenti e inquinamento. I nuovi dati ISPRA raccontano un settore in cambiamento

In this interview with Eleonora Di Cristofaro of the Italian National Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA), we explore the most recent official data on atmospheric emissions of greenhouse gases and ammonia from agriculture and livestock. The analysis, based on the 2026 edition of the national emissions inventory published in May, offers an updated picture of a sector in which climate-altering emissions have significantly decreased since 1990, yet the challenge of ammonia remains central. This insight is also useful for countering misinformation and providing a reading based on verified scientific data. 00:00 Introduction 01:40 Context 04:15 An overview of total greenhouse gas emissions in Italy 06:18 Emissions by sector 07:48 Greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural sector in detail 11:36 The trend in greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural sector 16:55 Ammonia emissions from the agricultural sector in detail 21:12 The trend in ammonia emissions from the agricultural sector 24:24 Discussion
