He spoke little about the war, after the victory he wanted to work on the land. Ivan Kotsur from Kirovohrad region died during the assault on Russian military positions in the Donetsk region. He went to defend Ukraine at the age of 23 in 2014, when the Russian-Ukrainian war began. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, together with his comrades, he participated in the defense of Voznesensk, prevented the Russian landing force from capturing the airfield. He defended Avdiivka, and as part of the 88th separate battalion of the 35th Marine Brigade, he liberated Storozhevo in the Donetsk region. Ivan Kotsur was posthumously awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine". On the third anniversary of the soldier's death, his family remembered who he was and what he dreamed of.
