Restoring a Soldier's Knife Buried for Over 100 Years

This knife was discovered at the bottom of a German World War I dugout, where it had remained buried for more than 100 years. Time had almost erased it. The wooden handle crumbled into dust, the blade was heavily rusted, and only after the first careful cleaning did a hidden maker's mark begin to appear. In this restoration, I carefully preserve the blade, recreate the missing wooden handle, and bring this forgotten soldier's knife back to life while respecting its history. If you recognize the maker's mark or know more about this type of knife, I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Thank you for watching!
