This trip will be following in the footsteps of the great explorer Sir John Franklin who in 1842 was the Governor of Tasmania. After having surveyor James Calder cut a 100km track though the heart of the inhospitable South West, Franklin and his wife Lady Jane embarked on a journey which led to many features of this unexplored area being named.
