Innovative Digital Solutions for Rural Uganda - Agriculture

Since 2019, UNCDF in Uganda has been implementing a programme focused on building inclusive digital economies as part of the global digital strategy of ‘Leaving No One Behind in the Digital Era’. The programme has a specific focus on empowering rural communities, smallholder farmers, women, youth agri-businesses and refugees - to lead productive and healthy lives by expanding access to and usage of digital services. Through increased access and capabilities to use digital services, underserved populations will derive benefits of a digital economy. This series of videos shows how people in rural Uganda are using some of these digital solutions in finance, agriculture, health and education for the first time to improve their day to day lives.
