We were incorporated and began operations in 2012. Initially, we focused on three themes: "fixed varieties," "organic farming (open-field cultivation)," and "large-scale production," but these were unsuccessful. We dropped "fixed varieties" from our theme. We then narrowed our cultivation down to komatsuna, cultivating a total of 20 hectares per year. We continued to investigate the cause of our failure by incorporating BLOF theory and other scientific perspectives, but the impact of the abnormal weather in recent years was significant, and we also withdrew from "organic farming." We now place emphasis on "appropriate crops on appropriate land" and have shifted our focus to paddy rice cultivation. We are also working to consolidate our farmland with the goal of 1,000 hectares. We feel that the agricultural information available to us is often disconnected from the actual situation and needs on the ground.
