4TH OF JULY 2026 AT AN AMERICAN RESOURCE CENTER IN BELGRADE

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from Belgrade, Serbia! Today, July 4, 2026, America celebrates its 250th Independence Day, and I'm very happy to celebrate this special occasion here in Serbia. One of the best places to experience the holiday in Belgrade is the American Resource Center, where today's celebration brought together Americans, Serbians, students, travelers, and everyone who enjoys American culture. I had the pleasure of speaking with Marija Bijelopetrović, Director of the American Resource Center. She warmly welcomed everyone and told me that the center is open to all - whether you're an American living in Serbia, a local resident, a student, or simply someone interested in learning more about the United States. Today's event featured beautiful American flags, music, great conversations, free refreshments, and a wonderful atmosphere. It was safe, friendly, and full of positive energy. One interesting surprise was that the celebration actually started earlier than scheduled. Although the official program was expected to begin later, people had already started gathering around 4:00 PM, creating a fantastic atmosphere well before the main event. Being here reminded me of something important. It doesn't matter where you are in the world. Even if you're thousands of miles away from home, you can still celebrate with people who share the same values, traditions, and love for America. Sometimes all you need is to find the right place and the right community.
