The Market Crash Trial — Stopping Flying Freakshow in Talos Island | City of Heroes Homecoming

The Market Crash Trial is a cooperative trial introduced in Issue 25, available to both Heroes and Villains, set in Kallisti Wharf and contactable through Ada Wellington. It runs from level 40 and above, awards 20 Reward Merits, and grants a Very Rare IO purple recipe on first completion. The completion badge is the Loyal Customer Badge. It begins with a collapsed tunnel in Kallisti Wharf that has trapped Wentworth's delivery trucks — including one carrying a Chekhov Power Core, a catastrophically dangerous energy source capable of leveling an entire city block if overloaded. The Freakshow have already broken into the tunnel and looted everything, leaving the Power Core missing and a Freakshow leader named M1sT3r B1GsH0t in charge of the operation. Part Two escalates fast — the district manager Jamie Ross is kidnapped by an unusually coordinated Freakshow assault targeting her specifically for her warehouse access codes. Inside the Freakshow warehouse a massive rave party is underway celebrating a new alliance — the Freakshow have traded the Chekhov Power Core to the Sky Raiders in exchange for jetpacks. The Sky Raiders knew exactly what they were getting. Captain Roberts of the Sky Raiders is on site and must be defeated alongside the Freakshow leader M0uThP1eC3. Part Three brings the crisis to a head — the Freakshow stage a massive rampage across Talos Island as a distraction while the Sky Raiders use Jamie's stolen access codes to break into Wentworth's warehouse and retrieve the Power Core. The league must simultaneously contain the Freakshow assault across Talos Island and stop the Sky Raiders before the Core is activated.
