Supergirl Gets Almost Everything Wrong | Spoiler Review

I really wanted to love Supergirl, but this one just didn’t land for me. In this spoiler review episode, I break down why I think the movie makes a huge storytelling mistake by introducing Kara as a moody, reckless hero before giving us the tragedy that explains who she is. By the time her heartbreaking Krypton backstory is finally told, the audience has already spent half the movie judging her instead of understanding her. I also talk about Milly Alcock’s performance, why Lobo steals every scene he’s in, why Krem was a forgettable main villain, and why this movie had all the ingredients to be something special but never figured it out.
