Ottawa Pops Orchestra - Materia Symphony - FFVII Inspired performance, 04/17/2026

Recently I went to this FF7 inspired performance casually dressed as a black mage or Vivi from the final fantasy series, spotting others who dressed the part too as Cait Sith, Aerith, Tifa, and Don Corneo to name a few! I brought a few friends who are unfamiliar to the series to check it out as the music from the FF games are great and decided to film it as well, although it wasn't a great angle for filming (sorry). The symphony and storytelling were good, and we ended up moving closer after the intermission seeing some empty seats so we could get a closer look at the musicians and their instrument playing. I think that once my uni exams are over I'm definitely planning to take some time to play through remake and rebirth, from what I've played of the first one without experience of the original I think you guys should check it out if you haven't yet. Especially from a gamedev perspective there's a lot of effort put in, I recommend them! anyways, until next time.
