Pressekonferenz - Reaktivierung von Schienenstrecken: Es tut sich was!

Disused railway lines in Germany have often been reactivated at a snail's pace – the hurdles are too high, the entire process too bureaucratic, and, moreover, frequently difficult to finance. Yet the potential, especially in the more rural states, is enormous: Reactivated railway lines not only benefit local residents, but additional tracks also increase the resilience of the entire network. The Alliance for Rail (Allianz pro Schiene) is jointly providing guidance for the coming years: Which reactivation projects have a good chance of being successfully completed in the next few years? Who needs to do what to bring more railway lines back online? Both associations will present the answers and research findings at a joint press conference.
