Nimbin Drug Capital of Australia? or A Quiet Country Village? It would be helpful to have previously visited Nimbin in the past 20 years or so, to get a better perspective, but, having visited many towns with a slightly similar counterculture, the findings are to me, obvious. In this video, I attempt to camp at the local showgrounds and get a feel for the town. Is it still a semi-out-of-control drug hang out or is there more to offer. Nestled in the lush, rolling hills of New South Wales, Australia, Nimbin holds a unique place in the country's cultural landscape. Well known for its bohemian spirit, vibrant art scene, and enduring countercultural identity, it has become a symbol of Australia's alternative lifestyle. With a trip out to Tania Creek Protestors Falls, the real essence of the struggle to keep their local rainforest became apparent. What a great story.
