Exploring House of Fraser Birmingham | We Were Surrounded by Police

With this place closing only recently, we wanted to get inside as soon as possible! We first visited the day after it shut its doors, hoping to find a way into the building. We even checked the property next door, thinking they might be connected internally. Unfortunately, after searching everywhere we could, there was simply no way in. The following week, we noticed that someone else had managed to get inside, so we knew we had to take our chance while the opportunity was there. We headed back on Sunday, but as we arrived, security was standing right outside the entrance. After waiting a while for them to leave, we decided to check the only side of the building we hadn't been able to check for an entrance. To our surprise, the door was wide open—right behind where the security guard had been sitting earlier! We must have arrived during a shift change because when we finally came back out nearly three hours later, there was a different security guard waiting at the door, informing us that we'd been trespassing.
