Abandoned Chemical Facility (ONCE HIGHLY TOXIC GROUND ) Full Explore

Step inside one of Wales' most fascinating abandoned industrial sites as we explore the former chemical facility at Amlwch, Anglesey. Once a major employer in the area, the site extracted bromine from seawater, which was then used to manufacture fuel additives for petrol (particularly for leaded petrol) chemicals that were used in fuel additives for petrol engines and a range of other industrial applications. As leaded petrol was phased out, the site's purpose changed before finally closing its doors in 2004 after more than 50 years of operation. Join me as I uncover what's left behind, explore the decaying buildings, and take a look at the history of a place that played an important role in Britain's chemical industry. From abandoned structures to forgotten machinery, this is a journey into a piece of Wales' industrial past.
