Aguacaliente is a regional service in Northwest Mexico, belonging to Grupo Estrella Blanca. It primarily covers local routes in the states of Baja California and Sonora, although they have recently expanded their service to include longer routes such as Mexico City - Tijuana and Guadalajara - Tijuana. On this occasion, I traveled on this service from the Port of Ensenada to the border city of Tijuana, Baja California, on one of their most popular routes, which offers a variety of departures daily. Despite being an executive-level service, for this particular trip, it wasn't what I expected. Many of the amenities that should be available on board were not.
