Squid Fishing on Cape Cod

Commercial fishermen in New England land more Squid by volume than any other species. Squid are valued as food, making their way onto dinner plates as calamari (especially in Rhode Island), and are a valuable bait for almost any species that swims. Atlantic Longfin Squid, living primarily inshore and most prized for food, make an annual migration up our coast beginning in April and lasting through the coldest months. We head to Hyannis, Massachusetts to catch up to a concentration of these delicious cephalopods.
