America's moral structure has been deteriorating in the last 40 years under the weight of a secular worldview. On today’s classic edition of Family Talk, author and theologian Dr. Francis Schaeffer asserts that America’s moral decline can be traced back to the rejection of the biblical notion that man is created in God’s image. He states that abortion, the failed public school system and the breakdown of the family are simply the ugly and inevitable results of a shift from a Christian worldview to a humanist worldview. About Today's Guest: Dr. Francis Schaeffer Dr. Francis Schaeffer was an evangelical theologian, pastor, missionary, and philosopher. He planned to become an engineer, but was converted and opted to transfer to the Presbyterian Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. He enrolled at Westminster Theological Seminary, and transferred to Faith Theological Seminary, graduating in 1938. In 1955, Dr. Schaeffer co-founded L’Abri Fellowship, a study center and community near the Swiss village of Huemoz. He authored over 20 books, including, "How Should We Then Live?," "A Christian Manifesto," and "The God Who is There." Dr. Francis Schaeffer passed away in 1984 from lymphoma.
