The newest wave of DC Comics at DOLLAR TREE (March 2026)

This video is about the DC Comics that can be found at many Dollar Tree stores in the United States. If you just want to get to the part of the video where I talk about the new March 2026 wave of releases, instead of hearing all about the previous waves, then jump ahead to the 12-minute mark: 12:06 These comics are newly-printed reprints of various DC comics, most of which can be identified by having an ad for DC Universe Infinite on the back cover, as well as information in their indicias (the fine-print at the bottom of the last page or title page). There will be a logo for Topaz Distribution in the indicia, which is the company that distributes these comics to stores like Dollar Tree. As noted in the video, there have been five "waves" of these Dollar Tree releases so far. The first wave was in late 2024 and consisted of 38 comics. The second wave was in April 2025 and consisted of 40 comics. The third wave was August 2025 and consisted of 70 comics. (I have yet to obtain any of those issues, at the time of writing.) The fourth wave was November 2025 and consisted of 85 comics. (I have 28 of them, which are shown in the video.) The fifth wave is the most recent wave; these comics will give the month of publication as March 2026 in their indicias. There are around 21 comics in this current wave, most of which are shown in this video. (It's possible that there are more, but that I simply haven't seen them yet.) In the video, I said that I had been to eight Dollar Tree stores to obtain all the comics shown here. I mispoke. I had actually gone to TWELVE Dollar Tree stores to get them -- although five of the twelve stores had no comic books. So, nearly HALF of the Dollar Tree stores that I visited didn't have them at all. Here are some places to go online to learn more about these comics: This message board thread was keeping track of these comics since May 2025, and has information about the first and second waves (late 2024 and April 2025): https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/54... However the thread is still active, and discussion has begun there now about the current March 2026 wave of releases. This other message board thread contains a list (including cover images) of all the August 2025 and November 2025 releases (the third and fourth wave): https://club.clz.com/t/dollar-tree-ci... The Grand Comics Database (GCD) has begun indexing these comics, and they can be found by searching under the keyword "Topaz Distribution": https://www.comics.org/keyword/Topaz%... I have begun adding entries there for some of the March 2026 releases. For example, here is the entry that I created for the Dollar Tree version of the Batman: Year Two #1 comic: https://www.comics.org/issue/2824459/ If you click the "Indicia Scan" link on that page (on the right side of the screen) you can view a scan of the comic's indicia, which distinguishes it from the original 2025 edition of that comic. It's possible that eventually I might write about these comics on my blog, which can be found at https://robimes.blogspot.com/ April 7, 2026 UPDATE: I did end up writing a post about this topic on my blog. You can read it at the link below: https://robimes.blogspot.com/2026/04/... If you want to check your own local Dollar Tree stores for these comics, you can find a list of stores near you on Dollar Tree's website: https://locations.dollartree.com/stor... As I mention in the video, the comics are usually located in a blue cardboard stand, often near the front of the store by the checkouts (although I have seen it placed at the back of the store by the books instead). Some Dollar Tree stores will NOT have them, or have very few of them, while others will have an awesome selection. It just depends on the store. Even though the first wave (late 2024) was over a year ago (as of this writing), many of the Dollar Tree stores that do carry comics will still have these available, despite their age. I assume that they arrived in the same shipment with the subsequent waves, and haven't been sitting there unsold for an entire year (based on personal observation of my own local Dollar Tree stores). If you have bought any of these Dollar Tree comics before, feel free to leave a comment below about it.
