The two met at Empire Sound Studio owned by Alex Gerst (Producer/Engineer) with lead singer Scott Lathwood, Bassist Steven Knight and Drummer Michael Gray. The track was engineered by Alex and produced by Randy, DPaul for LOUD Spirit Records. “I grew up cruzin the lake front in New Orleans, LA listening to Zebra in my dash. At the time and in my eyes or ears rather no one on the planet was bigger rock stars than those guys. It was an Honor to be in the studio with Randy Jackson he is a pro, super talented and a super cool guy. Not only is he a rock n roll legend, he was one of my rockin’ childhood idols and early influence” – DPaul Wise, Guitarist / Songwriter Ashes of Eagles. From my upbringings in New Orleans I felt like this is where Rock started with Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew. They inspired so many artists and so many have no idea how influential guys like that have on artists even today. Many don’t even know who they are, this is why it was so important to do this project with Randy. Randy, although he would never admit it, is a living rock legend.
