🎺 200 Jahre Pfarrmusik Olang, Südtirol - Pfarrlinga Kirschta 2024

This year's "Pfarrlinga Kirschta" was entirely dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Pfarrmusik Olang from South Tyrol. This significant event was fittingly celebrated with a grand festival on June 29th and 30th, 2024. The celebration began on Saturday with an impressive march of the jubilee band, Pfarrmusik Olang, accompanied by flag bearers and honored guests. Neighboring bands from the surrounding area marched in a festive star formation to the festival grounds, where, under the direction of conductor Birgit Profanter, two marches were played together. Following this, the official ceremony took place. Participating bands included those from Rasun di Sotto, San Vigilio di Marebbe, Braies, and Monguelfo, all contributing to the festive atmosphere. Sunday brought the highlight of the festival: the grand parade through Valdaora/Niederolang. This annual highlight attracted numerous visitors and was made unforgettable by equestrian groups, beautifully decorated festival wagons, and the musical performances of the bands from Dobbiaco, Verano, Peter Sigmair Valdaora, as well as the Musikfreunde Hülzweiler from Germany. The colorful traditional costumes and festive music gave the parade a truly special atmosphere. The 200th anniversary of Pfarrmusik Olang was a great success, showcasing the rich tradition and vibrant culture of the region. The village community, along with numerous guests from near and far, enjoyed the festive atmosphere and celebrated this special occasion together.
