1966 Volkswagen Beetle (GoPro POV Drive) - 44 HP bug - Norway, April

Come along for a drivers point of view in an original 1966 Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle/Bug. Original with a roughly 44 horsepower, 1300cc boxer engine and a 6 Volt system. Certainly not the fastest car, but by no means the slowest. 4-speed manual, rear wheel drive, and a uniquely rear mounted boxer-engine makes for a fun and interesting drive. The Bug has a surprisingly peppy engine considering its age, partly due to its light weight construction. No power steering and lacks most modern day comforts, however this is still the car I would choose to drive for fun due to it's direct driving characteristics and vintage feel. Driveby shots @ 17:35
