During the workshop, we aimed to advance documentation procedures and protocols for textile imprints on clay and to formulate best practices for their study, including methods of 3D documentation. The hands-on session offers an overview of techniques for making modern casts and impressions directly from archaeological textile imprints on clay, and supports the development of a decision-making strategy for taking positive imprints from frequently fragile finds. The project "Exploring Textile Imprints on Clay from the 3rd and the 2nd Millennia BCE: Advancing Cutting-Edge Research and Documentation Protocols with Case Studies of Diverse Textile Consumption Contexts (ExplorTIC)" is funded by the SONATA BIS 13 grant scheme of the National Science Centre Poland (project ID: UMO-2023/50/E/HS3/00094), conducted at the Faculty of Archaeology, University of Warsaw (2024–2027)
