We pickup exactly where we left off in Part One - following the fascinating work of Norfolk Southern Railroad's Tie and Surfacing Gang #8 as 67 men and 33 machines go about the task of replacing 7000 ties on the NS mainline in northeast Ohio. Every machine has a purpose, and every man has a mission. This is hard, dirty, and dangerous work, but absolutely essential to maintaining the backbone of the railroad - the track, timbers, and roadbed. The mission is critical, and failure is not an option, because come hell or high water - THE TRAINS MUST ROLL !
